This Salon and Stylist completely exceeded my expectations. It can always be a little nerve wrecking going to a new Stylist, and from the moment I wal...ked in the door, it was a very inviting energy from everyone!. My Stylist asked great questions during my consult and gave wonderful feedback and suggestions on my current routine- which is something I hold to a high level during my salon visits. The services performed definitely gave my hair much needed TLC and the education received made me feel very confident going forward, performing my own hair care in between appointments. Looking forward to my next visit and so happy that I was able to find this gem! Show more

The salon itself is nice. The location is convenient and there is paid parking in the back. There are not random solicitors coming in and out, which i...s nice to not have to be on constant guard. It’s clean, and there is a mixed crowd (older and young alike) so generally speaking there’s a pleasant ambiance that everyone can enjoy. I arrived to my appointment about 5 minutes early. Waited for my stylist and was not prepared for the wait to be between 40-50minutes. At around 35 minutes I was moved to the bowl and still had to wait. When I was serviced I received no “thank you” or apologies for the wait. Much of the shampoo condition convo consisted of what I need to do for my hair. My hair is in pretty good condition and after waiting so long I wasn’t receptive to a lesson or (unsolicited) criticism on my routine. But I just listened and nodded bc there’s no need to be rude. There were 2 moments I realized this might not be the place for me. When I disclosed a chronic illness that impacts my hair growth rate and scalp and was told to “see a dermatologist.” The second was when I realize how much my stylist trimmed off. Prior to the trim she showed me how much would be taken off but the resulting cut was over 2 inches. Which is a lot for me. I communicated that I wanted the minimum trimmed and it was over double the discussed amount. I didn’t realize until she turned me around what was being trimmed and watch her cut more… it was too late (I measure my hair regularly is how I know the amount). At the end I paid and left quickly bc I didn’t have anything constructive to say and it was late. On a positive note my stylist is a nice lady who I think means well. She wasn’t rude at all just unaware I’ll say. For folks with natural hair that care about how hair is handled she handles the hair very carefully and doesn’t rip through tangles. This is a plus because natural hair can be delicate. She detangles carefully. She also didn’t rush through the process and gave me the standard silk press wash, condition, scalp massage and steam treatment. The products used smell/feel nice and are available for purchase. The front desk person is also very pleasant and offered me snacks and water while waiting. They all are talented however this was not a fit for me. I tried this salon because my go to is far and I want to find something closer and 2nd choice didn’t have openings soon enough. I wanted to stay on top of my trims. I hate micromanaging stylists and now I feel like I’ll have to again…that or just travel. Show more
